STEP 1: DRY BRUSHING
Dry brushing has so many benefits: like reducing
the look of cellulite and helping prevent ingrown hairs. It can be done daily, but preferably
before you shower and shave!
For your bikini area, brush the area inwards using small,
circular strokes. The bristles on the brush help exfoliate the top layer of skin and help hair
to grow normally.
STEP TWO: SHAVE SKIN CARE
Not all shaving cream is made
the same! If you notice you are getting a lot of ingrown hairs, try changing
your shaving cream. Look for something with more natural ingredients, that
creates a lot of foam (not your body wash or conditioner!) and has some healing
properties (like tea tree oil) which has natural anti-bacterial and
anti-inflammatory properties.
STEP THREE: YOUR
RAZOR
You guessed it! A single-blade
safety razor is pretty crucial in helping to prevent ingrown hairs.
A sharp and clean safety razor will cut off the hair bluntly in one
pass without catching or dragging hairs. The razor won't clog
meaning less bacteria buildup. Try changing out your blade before
shaving down there!
